If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident:

-Stay calm

-Check yourself and others in the car for injuries. Call for an ambulance if you need one.

-Turn on your car’s hazard lights if not damaged.

-Call for the police.

-If you can, make notes about the accident and the damage to your vehicle and the other.

-Get all of the other person's information. Including driver’s license, insurance information, registration and make sure all match if not let the police give you all the necessary information.

-Take pictures of your vehicle and the others as well as the conditions on the road.

-If there were witnesses get their information .

- Don’t admit that the accident was your fault let the insurance company’s decide.

- Limit your discussion of the accident to the police.

-Never leave the scene of the accident until the police allow you to.

-If you are injured and do not want to go to the hospital by ambulance make sure someone takes you to the Emergency Room or to your chiropractor or medical doctor.
