Graston Technique

The Graston Technique effectively breaks down scar tissue and reduces inflammation that can cause pain and restricted motion. Used by chiropractors the stainless steel instruments comb over and catch on fibrotic tissue, which immediately identifies areas of restriction. The instruments enable clinicians to treat soft tissue lesions with the depth, pressure and specificity necessary to affect the condition at the site of pain, as well as following the kinetic chain to find and treat the cause. Once the tissue dysfunction has been identified, the instruments break up the scar tissue so it can be absorbed by the body.

Kinesio Taping

The kinesio taping method is designed to facilitate the body's natural healing process and to provide extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy administered within the clinical setting. Kinesio tape is safe for populations ranging from pediatric to geriatric. By targeting different receptors within the somatosensory system., the tape alleviates pain and facilitates lymphatic drainage by microscopically lifting the skin. This lifting affect forms convolutions in the skin thus increasing interstitial space and allowing for decreased inflammation.

Chiropractic Adjustment

Spinal Adjustments

In basic terms, the spinal adjustment or spinal manipulation refers to the process in which the doctor of chiropractic skillfully applies controlled force into one or more "subluxated" vertebrae of the spine. The adjustment is also frequently used in the pelvic region to normalize the sacroiliac joints. The adjustment is usually delivered using the hands or through the use of a specialized mechanical tool.
